Here comes the information for aspiring home-brewers of Delhi.

This post is about how and from where you can source all the equipments and ingredients in and around Delhi/NCR.

There are several shops available in sadar bazaar, Old delhi (Don't have exact address) where you have to search shop by shop.


Ingredients:

Hops and yeast can be bought online easily from www.brewof.com & www.diybrew.in

Malts : It depends how much quantity you want to buy, if you want to buy small quantity 2-3 kgs then online stores are the best buy.
    If you can stock some at home and use it then it will cost you less.
    In Delhi/NCR number of options are available to buy malts and malt extract. Indian malt is 3-4 times cheaper than imported malt.

    I read in one of your posts that you get your grains in bulk from Delhi.
    Could you pls let me know the place. What is the minimum quantity one can buy and the avg price these days.Also what is the self life of these grains.Do they need extra caring for storage if bought in large quantity.

    1. You can only buy malt in bulk. Contact any of the malting companies like DVKSP, Imperial Malt, etc.
      I am not very sure about the prices, but imported malt costs about Rs 100 / kg and indian malt around Rs 55 /kg in bulk.
      The grains stay good if stored in airtight containers / bags for 3 - 4 months.
